Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology was established in October 1925. Since 1996 Head of the Department Associate Professor, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences Pusher NG The department has 9 teachers and 3 laboratory.
Veterinary pharmacology study for 2 semesters, totaling 136 hours, including 64 hours devoted to laboratory and practical classes. Toxicology studied for one semester, a total of 68 hours, including 36 hours devoted to laboratory and practical classes. Pharmaceutical Technology are studying the future pharmacists in the amount of 128 hours. The computer technologies are used during training, slide lectures, etc.
At the department there are Masters, postgraduate and doctoral studies. The department operates a student scientific society, where students of veterinary and biotechnological faculties fully engaged in the research work.
The main focus of research of the department is the development and introduction of new drugs for the treatment and prevention of various diseases in animals.
