On may 9, 2020, the entire world will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic war.
On the eve of the Victory Day, may 8, a wreath-laying ceremony was held at the memorial signs:
Memorial sign on the grave of victims of fascism, located in the Park named after the 40th anniversary of the Komsomol (the Memorial sign was installed in 1964. The territory of the Park during the Great Patriotic war was one of the places of mass elimination of people by the Nazis);
The memorial sign “in memory of the employees of Vitebsk Veterinary Institute who died during the Great Patriotic war” (established in 1967), located in the courtyard in the campus of the Academy of Veterinary Medicine.
As part of the campaign “Belarus remembers. We remember everyone “the administration of the Academy, students activists and employees of the Academy paid their tribute to the heroes who made a contribution to the liberation of our country and the whole Europe from the German-fascist invaders.
A minute of silence was observed in the memory of the fallen soldiers.
Maxim Mishurny, artistic Director Of the Academy’s House of Culture, made a thematic prologue dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic war. Teacher-organizer Sergey Golub performed the song “A PRAYER”.
