The second cohort of Uzbek students enters the Inter-University faculty
According to the agreement on the establishment of the Inter-University faculty, signed between the rector of SamIVM, Yunusov Kh.B. and the Rector of the EE VSAVM Haurichenka M.I., on July 12, 2019, from September 24 to 30, the admission campaign at this faculty started. The composition of the Examination Commission at the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine included: Chairman – the Rector of the SamIVM, Professor Yunusov, H. B., Vice chairman – Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Fedotov D. N., the Head of the Department of Science and Education, State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development in Uzbekistan Safarov A., and members of the Commission – Vice-rectors and lecturers of the SamIVM.
The Inter-University faculty offers 15 places for the specialty of “Veterinary Medicine”, 15 places for the specialty of “Veterinary Pharmacy” and 15 places for the specialty “Animal Sciences”. During the admission campaign, potential applicants were tested in biology and chemistry, which in the conditions of the pandemic was held outdoors – at the SamIVM stadium. All applicants participated in an interview on their knowledge and proficiency in the Russian, Language, as a result of which 45 students were enrolled at the 1st year of the Inter-University faculty. September 27-28, the Dean of Fmspidp Fedotov D. N. together with the head of the Department of Science and Education, State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development in Uzbekistan Alisher Safarov, had conducted an additional interview for further admission of the Uzbek students for training at the first year of the EE VSAVM in the specialties “Veterinary Medicine”, “Animal Husbandry”, and “Veterinary Pharmacy”. On September 29, the Dean of Fmspidp Fedotov D. N. held a parent-teacher meeting in the Assembly hall of SamIVM.
On September 29, the Dean of Fmspidp Fedotov D. N. held an open lecture on histology for the 2nd-year students of the Inter-UFedotov D. N.niversity faculty on the topic “Fundamentals of Cell Theory”.
The first Inter-University faculty with the Belarusian University was opened in Uzbekistan, which was positively noted by the Ministry of Education of Uzbekistan and the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Development of Uzbekistan. The Chairman (Minister) of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Development of Uzbekistan B. Norkobilov presented Certificates of Honor to the Rector of the EE VSAVM, M. I. Haurichenka, and the Dean of the Fmspidp D. N. Fedotov.
On September 30, the Dean of Fmspidp, D. N. Fedotov, discussed with representatives of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry Development of Uzbekistan an issuee on opening a new Inter-University faculty with the start of recruitment of applicants until November 1, 2020 in the Tashkent branch. The idea was supported by First Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and livestock development in Uzbekistan Jabbarov S. A.
Since October 1, 2020, the Tashkent branch has opened an inter-University faculty with the VGAVM, for which has been offered 15 places in the specialty of “Veterinary Sanitation and Expertise” and 15 places in the specialty of “Veterinary Pharmacy”.
It should be noted that for the 2020-2021 academic year, 5 students and 3 undergraduates from Uzbekistan are scheduled to attend the 1st year of the EE VSAVM .
