EXHIBITION “POETRY OF EMBROIDERY”
Exhibition “Poetry of embroidery” by senior lecturer of the Department of Private Animal Husbandry Valentina Nazimovna Karabanova
On March 17, 2021, the Museum of the History of Private Collecting hosted the opening of the exhibition “Poetry of Embroidery” by senior lecturer of the Department of Specialized Animal Husbandry Valentina Karabanova.
The exhibition covers about 90 embroidered works, including still lifes, flower arrangements, landscapes and even an ancient map of the world. Along with the paintings at the exhibition, you can see embroidered accessories, pillows, brooches, biskornya, handbags and clutches. The works are made using various techniques and materials: cross, half-cross, backstitch, French knot, spread thread, stitch-loop, embroidery with beads, glass beads, sequins and others.
Congratulations to Valentina Nazimovna on the opening of the creative exhibition and we wish to create many more embroidered artistic masterpieces!
The exhibition will run until June 30, 2021 inclusive.
