Ceremonial Events for the Knowledge Day
The day of September 1 for the Academy of veterinary medicine was full of events and Honored guests. The day began with a council meeting, then – the opening of the museum of the department of anatomy and the solemn part.
The solemn event was attended by: Assistant of the President of the Republic of Belarus Igor Brylo, deputy director of the Department of veterinary and food supervision Kirill Glushchenko, deputy head of the Administration of the Oktyabrsky district Tatiana Ignatkova, chairman of the committee of natural resources and environmental protection Victor Galanov, director of the International Festival of Arts «Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk» Gleb Lapitsky, specialists of the Trade Union of the agro-industrial complex and other public organizations.
The event was attended by: professors and teachers, employees and the main guests of the celebration – freshmen.
Nikolay Ivanovich Gavrichenko told the students about the history of the academy and wished them to support the traditions of the alma mater. During the study it is necessary to apply all their knowledge, perseverance and skills to achieve the goal. The Academy has everything to become highly qualified specialists: material and technical base and experienced professors and teaching staff, you can prove themselves in science and in creativity. Among the 100 most cited scientists of Belarus, sixteen work in our academy.
Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – inspector for the Vitebsk region Igor Brylo also graduated from the academy. He said that coming here, experiencing positive emotions, surfacing memories of the most carefree and interesting time. He expressed his gratitude to his teachers and professors for training highly professional specialists. Igor Brylo stressed that the work of veterinary doctors is interesting, complex, but creative. We have to work in agriculture, processing industry, veterinary clinics, on the border. Many graduates head leading enterprises of our country, occupy leading positions.

Many wishes and instructions were left by the guests to the students. Chairmen of public organizations «dedicated» to the newcomers as members of the primary organizations. The deans and the director of the Agrarian College handed «the first» record books. All together spoke the oath of freshmen and from that moment became them!
Teachers and employees who achieved high results in the last academic year were awarded with certificates of honor of the Ministry of agriculture and food of the Republic of Belarus, the academy, the administration of the Oktyabrsky district of Vitebsk, the trade union of employees of the agro-industrial complex, BRSM.
Certificates for the purchase of new training equipment were donated to the Academy to strengthen the material and technical base.
After the official part there was a concert prepared by the staff of the House of Culture and students of the Academy.
