THE WEEK OF PARENTAL LOVE IN BELARUS
The week of parental love in Belarus is filled with special attention and gratitude to every mother and father. In connection with this the department of educational work with young people of VSAVM, the dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized the participation of students of the 1st courses in the musical and poetic composition «Religion Celestial Sister of the Earth» organized by the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I. Lenin and the Vitebsk Diocese.
More than 30 students of our Academy headed by Associate Professor of the Department of Production Technology and Animal Husbandry A.V. Goncharov, responsible for the spiritual and educational work of the Vitebsk Diocese at the Academy were guests of the music poetry event with the participation of Archpriest Alexander Kovalev, Head of the Department of Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Diocese, the lyric of the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Archpriest Igor Mashkey, a member of the Vitebsk Chapter of the Union of Writers of Belarus Elena Fedeyeva and vocal-instrumental collective «Ark».
They were very impressed with the instructions for young people about honoring their parents, the fulfillment of the fifth commandment of God’s law, which is a bridge linking the attitude to God with the attitude of man towards his neighbor. Having learned to respect parents, we learn to recognize other authorities: teachers, superiors, persons who govern the state, and other people who meet in our life course.
Archpriest Alexander Kovalev talked about problems and difficulties in building a strong family among students and other youth.
The poems of Elena Fedyaeva and songs «Ark» were about the most important: about love, family, small Homeland, about the Motherland.
The representative of «Belpochta» A.A. Kutko introduced the festive thematic products.
