STUDENTS OF THE ACADEMY ARE
AT THE MUSEUM OF BEREZINSKY BIOSPHERE RESERVE
The unique natural museum of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve surprises with the variety of exhibits. Today the Museum of Nature belongs to the best natural compositions of Belarus. It was created to promote the principles of nature protection, as well as to familiarize people with the animal world of the republic.
Students of 2-4 courses of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology Faculty, with Deputy Deans for educational work Soboleva Yu.G. and Shamich Yu.V. with the support of the primary trade union student organization EE VSAVM visited the Museum of Nature of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve.
The museum displays in miniature sights the corner of nature of northern Belarus through picturesque canvases, taxidermic groups of animals, light stained glass windows.
The exhibits are placed in three halls of the museum with a total area of 400 m2. The first, introductory hall, describes the history of the reserve, its structure and diversity. The other two rooms are devoted to flora and fauna. In the hall «The Reserve Corner» mammals are represented here. Hall «Bird kingdom» introduces visitors to more than 100 species of birds.
Among the animals and birds living in the reserve there are many representatives of the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus.
