INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS’ DAY
With the support of the Faculty of International Relations, Career Guidance and Pre-university Training, a round table dedicated to the International Students’ Day was held at the Department of Foreign Languages on November 17, 2023, which was attended by Belarusian and foreign students, as well as listeners. The event was also attended by employees of the Department of Foreign Languages, headed by S.A. Grinberg, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Career Guidance and Pre-University Training, A.V. Solovyov, who during his speech congratulated the students on such a significant day.
S.A. Grinberg made a presentation on the history of this memorable date: “Students’ Day is celebrated in many countries of the world, and although the programs for celebrating this day differ, but it is very popular among students. And practically no higher educational institution stays away from the noisy and long-awaited holiday.”
For your information, this holiday is celebrated annually on November 17. It was established in 1941 at the international meeting of students of countries that fought against fascism, which was held in London (Great Britain), but it began to be celebrated in 1946. The date is set in memory of the Czech patriot students.
