A., a senior operative of the anti-cybercrime department of the criminal police of the Vitebsk Executive Committee, made a speech on the topic: crimes in the field of information technology. Prevention of cybercrime, organized by the department of educational work for heads of departments, heads of departments and curators of courses.
Computer-related crimes include offences in which computer equipment is used as an instrument for the commission of a crime or as an object of criminal assault. Cybercrime takes many forms, most often identity-related crime. They can be done by “phishing” (tricking Internet users into sharing their personal data), malware (software installed without the user’s knowledge and collecting personal data) and hacking (illegal remote access to someone else’s computer). Typically, such methods are used by fraudsters to steal credit card data and money.
