THE MAIN POPULAR SCIENTIFIC EVENT OF THE COUNTRY – SCIENCE FESTIVAL
September 7, 2024 the main popular scientific event of the country – the Science Festival was held in Minsk. For the sixth time, the Central Botanical Garden hosted thematic platforms, lectures from prominent scientists, exhibitions of achievements from various fields of science, interactive scientific experiments and workshops for visitors of all ages and interests.
The opening ceremony of the main scientific and popular event in the country was attended by the first deputy head of the Administration of the President N. V. Petkevich, the Minister of Education A. I. Ivanetz, the chairman of the Presidium of NSA Belarus V. G. Gusakov.
Andrei Ivanetz noted: «Science in any country is the foundation of society and economy. So today at the festival we can see the present and future of our country».
The Ministry of Education introduced visitors to the achievements of higher education science and new specialties on the site «University of the future». Here are presented 26 leading universities of our country.
Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine participated in this event for the first time. On the site of our academy, visitors were invited to take a master class on determining the quality of milk, harnessing horses, hugging and stroking pets of «live corner» (rat Frosya and rabbit Bonya). VSAVM stand had a great success among the visitors of the exhibition, especially among the smallest.
